New York Party

Who - You, your significant other(s) and anyone you think might enjoy this. The more the merrier. The limit is no more than 6-degrees (i.e. no picking up a cutie on your way here unless she has less than 6 degrees from the cohort or me).

What - In honor of both the Cohort and me, I am throwing a party for both my classmates & myself and you are invited. Two of the most significant things in my life so far will happen in close succession and I want to celebrate them. In particular, graduation with a Masters in Business Administration AND "officially" becoming an "adult" by turning 30 (for me at least).

As such, your presence is not only requested, but demanded. Sell your first born if you must, but January 5, 6, 7 (Fri - Sun) are mine. Housing and travel accomodations can be arranged, as well as assistance taken and given if necessary. Just contact me directly for details. Your presence is required, presents are not.

When - January 5 - 7, 2007 - It's a weekend and you're welcome to come earlier and stay later. The main party will be Saturday night, but many other activities will be happening as people arrive.

Where - 230 Fifth - The party is in a space dedicated to us at 230 Fifth Ave. (27th & 5th). All the way to the top floor! The name to drop is either "Cohort" or "Randy". I'll have my cell, so please call if there are any problems (send me a note if you don't have my cell).

How - First you book your plane ticket, then you book your hotel. Then you get your keister out here. Or be creative, train and friend's couch (my place is open to as many people as can fit uncomfortably). If you could figure out how to do it, hot-air balloon works too, and would make for an amazing entrance. By hook or by crook, planes, trains and automobiles, however you do it is fine, just do it. Hmmm... on that note, the person with the most creative means of travel and / or true story about their trip will win some sort of prize.

Why - Because you love me. Because you need a really good party. Because you need an awesome vacation. Because on that day in 1958 the first ant farm is sold in America. Because you've never been to New York. Because you'll never go to New York otherwise. Because I'm leaving the country soon after that. Because you needed somewhere to go for your really, really, Forrest Gump-like long walk. Because your Momma told you not to. Because you're curious if I can really deliver on something so over the top. Because it's your Patriotic Duty to stimulate the economy by spending money. Because how else are you going to rebel? Because you need to work on your purity test score.
